Every now and then, an article in English. A Phillipine friend of mine shared an article from thoughtcatalog.
Having lived in the Philippines for two years, I have seen a lot abuse of economic power by white guys. However, this article relates to asian women living in Boston.
The WMAW (white man, asian woman) phenomenon is itself one steeped in Patriarchal values, sexism and racism. Ever since its breakout, it has caused white men to trick millions of Asian women into relationships in which they’re being heavily taken advantage of.
So if a white guy falls in love with an asian women it is racism? Weird logic. If a white guy falls in love with a black girl? If a white girl falls in love with a black guy?
Like, OMG? Do you realize how rude that is to Asian Women? Being pleasant is NOT a good trait, that’s a very Patriarchal way of thinking, being pleasant denotes that you’re not fierce and strong like women should be. Asian women, how can you tolerate this rhetoric being spouted about you?
I like pleasant people. Even though happily married to a white woman, I do find asian women attractive as well.
Oh and what are we white women supposed to do now then, that you’re like, totally dating all the white guys? Are we supposed to like, go for your men? No offense, but they’re like kinda short and nerdy and not very hot. I mean they’re perfect for you, you’re like made for each other, but white men kind of like, belong to us
Erm.. lol? At least your mask comes down now. Even though you wish we would belong to you, we don’t. I just belong to myself. As well as any woman does, regardless of the colour of her skin.
Let me cite Martin Luther King for you, to show you how racist you really are:
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
Bottomline, what I read from the article is just the same feminist position as when it comes to pornography or prostitution. Feminists want the monopoly on sex. I do like strong women. I don’t like women who try to tell men who to date and who not to date. As a German I find your views disgusting. We had a dark time when people where punished for dating outside their „race“. Never again!
